QUICKSAND TRAINING OPTIONS

We are very happy to offer a range of development variations for everyone that is keen to challenge themselves. 

As part of our philosophy we take a very holistic approach. We want our Member involvement / experience to be such that they take genuine enjoyment from it, be that based on their personal or volleyball growth or both.

Beyond their growth as a volleyball player, we expect everyone to grow self-awareness, sense of self worth and capacity for independence, self-reliance, proactivity and leadership through their participation.

GROUP TRAINING

Every group can be a a mix of junior and senior players (criteria at the bottom of this page)

Weekly sessions:

  • Mondays 4.30-6.00pm: Junior Beginner (age 15 and under)

  • Mondays 6.00-8.00pm: Intermediate

  • Mondays 6.00-8.00pm: Beginner

  • Tuesdays 5.00-6.45pm: Advanced

  • Tuesday 6.30-8.15pm: Advanced

  • Wednesdays 4.30-6.00pm: Junior Beginner (age15 and under)

  • Wednesday6.00-8.00pm: Intermediate

  • Thursdays 5.00-6.45pm: Advanced

  • Thursday 6.30-8.15pm: Advanced

  • Fridays 5.30-7.30pm: Intermediate + Beginner

  • Sundays 9.30-11.30 Beginner

  • Sundays 11.30-1.30pm Advanced

Come&Try, Training periods & Fees

  • An Come&Try is possible at any time during the summer (free of charge) for anyone that is interested in regular training (over 15 years of age). Just get in touch via quicksandglenelg@gmail.com 

  • Training period1, first week of September - Mid Dec focus priority on technical and physical development

  • Training period2, first week of January - Mid Marc focus priority on teamplay and tactics / strategies

Expectations​

  • training is subject to individual circumstances (some groups might require a full summer committment)

  • selected participation in SABVS events

  • no pay no train

  • abide by all VSA codes of conduct

PRIVATE TRAINING

Based on your individual / team needs

OPEN / CASUAL / BEGINNER TRAINING

no obligations

  • Available on Mondays 6.00-8.00pm, Saturdays & Sundays 9.30-11.30am

  • everyone is welcome 

  • $25 pay on the day

  • minimum 24hours notice to confirm your attendance (please contact us via quicksandglenelg@gmail.com for any enquires)

Group Training criteria​

For anyone who is keen to join the Hype and train with us on a regular basis the following is a guide to the criteria for each training option. Teams are preferred but not a requirement. We will try help you with finding a suitable partner. Players can be given opportunities to move to different groups based on individual schedules and group selection criteria.

Juniors under 12

Juniors  (12-u18)

Beginner / Intermediate - You are someone who recently started playing Volleyball in school or club and are looking for an opportunity to develop during the summer. 

(Participation in SABVS Futures or 1* events recommended)
 

Intermediate / Advanced - You currently play Volleyball for a club or have represented the state and have ambitions to grow into a better all-round beach & indoor player. 

(Participation in any SABVS event highly recommended)

Open  (15+)

Beginner / Intermediate - You are keen to give beach volleyball a go. You are a social player that wants to be more serious about your game. You are an adult that is interested in growing your game on the sand or want to benefit from beach volleyball to become a better indoor player. You are a committed Junior seeking to challenge yourself at the next level. 

(Participation in any SABVS event highly recommended)
 

Intermediate / Advanced - You are a committed junior who has represented the state or national junior teams and is seeking to make it onto the international beach volleyball circuit. You are an adult currently playing on the beach volleyball circuit or a high-level indoor player that has aspirations to also succeed on the sand.

(Participation in SABVS or higher required)

Top

Top-Teams or Individual Players - You are committed to training 3-5x per week including gym, participate regularly in SABVS events, but want to travel to play National Tour and might aim for international experiences.​
